Summary: This FOLIO procedure shows the process used to make miscellaneous holdings and item field changes (ex. locations, or item statistical codes) using Bulk Edit.

Save File as a CSV file and then Run it through Bulk Edit

  • Either scan barcodes with Opticon scanner and save barcodes into a .csv file or get barcodes from Sierra if that is still possible and then save as a csv file.
  • Save the file as a csv tile but name the file according to the job you are doing. Example of a new book file name: Friday-01022023.csv
  • Save file where you know you can get to it such as Desktop, or O:\CatMan Files.
  • In the Bulk edit tab, set criteria as “Identifier”, Record types “Inventory-items” and Record identifier as “Item barcode”.
