Collection notes & parameters
Summary: This page lists gift notes, series titles, and/or extra cataloging steps required for special collections of materials (usually gift collections but also purchased materials). The list is generally arranged by the last name of the donor. In the absence of a donor, the collection is listed by a shorthand of its official title. See also the list of Endowment & other notes maintained by CatMan (there is some overlap between these two lists, but they are used for separate processes).

Pull materials from designated 3E storage area
Determine if commercial or community cookbook and assign sublocation accordingly
Use LCGFT Community cookbooks scope note as primary guideline: "Cookbooks that contain recipes submitted by community organizations, often church or civic groups, frequently including a history of the organization and the region, personal recollections or local culinary traditions."
Other potential indicators of a community cookbook: May not include an ISBN or CIP data, often includes an attribution after each recipe, may be produced by a printing service rather than a mainstream publisher, may have been created for fundraising, and is more likely to have a comb or spiral binding.
Send unclear cases to Leslie McRoberts or Tad Boehmer for review and decision.

Commercial cookbooks created 1949 or earlier = sprar
