Summary: Instructions for placing barcodes on different types of materials.

Print	Outside back cover An appropriate shield is applied over the barcode on print materials to protect the barcode. Pieces with a bar code on the inside front cover should have the bar code duplicated and placed on the appropriate location on the back cover on the piece and covered with a shield.
Microfilm reel	On blank front leader (done only as needed for circulation)
Microfiche	On envelope (done only as needed for circulation)
Videocassette	On title label, or as directed by branch
Disc	On jewel case
