Support staff making arrangements to work from home should work with their supervisor to submit this HR telecommunication contract formAs of April 2020, only the work of ordering and receiving has been deemed as essential, and those doing this work may spend time in the building as needed. All other Tech Services staff are expected to work from home.

Library resources cannot be removed from the building. Scanning for cataloging purposes is not considered essential at this time.

Quick visits to workspaces (to pick up personal items, drop off paperwork, etc.) are still acceptable.

If you plan to visit, you can access the building from 8-9:30am and 1-1:30pm. You will need to complete a health screening form upon entry, per Ingham County Health Department requirements.

Staff working from home will need this form on file with HR: https://worklife.msu.edu/sites/default/files/sites/default/files/content/Telecommuting%20Agreement-Updated%202016.pdf

Per the Dean’s 3/11/20 email:

“We seek to strike a balance between maintaining operations and encouraging colleagues to work from home. To that end, we first encourage any of you who have your own health concerns or concerns for the health of anyone with whom you come in regular contact to plan to work from home and to work with your supervisor to make those arrangements to do so. We also encourage any of you who are interested in working from home during this period to discuss those arrangements with your supervisors.”
