Summary: Instructions for cataloging books published by the MSU Press.
MSU Press books are acquired periodically in small groups, and hand-delivered to the appropriate copy cataloger by Acq staff. In general, these do not require any special treatment, but they involve some slight irregularities the cataloger should be aware of.
- Search all MSU Press titles against the catalog; sometimes they will be add cats to LoM or Law records
- No order record will be present in the catalog; no overlay is required upon export
- Available copy is usually drawn from CIP data, so some enhancements will likely be required (imprint, extent, dimensions, etc.)
Any MSU Press books requiring original cataloging can be forwarded to the Asst. Head of CMS.
