FOLIO Status

As of Thursday, June 30th, 2022, MSU Main Libraries, MSU Law Library and The Library of Michigan are LIVE on FOLIO.

FOLIO Production is on: Orchid-SP-6 (release notes)

FOLIO Test is on: Orchid-SP-6 (release notes)

• New cataloging in FOLIO is proceeding for those appropriately trained.

• Until Morning Glory, Acquisitions staff will not be creating holdings and item records when ordering or receiving materials.

• We cannot create new, OR edit, bound-with or analytic records (although all of our existing ones were migrated). Functionality is expected with the Morning Glory release. Expect irregularities and oddities.

• Spine call number printing is not yet available. Cat Man will be manually creating these.

• Authority work is limited until the next FOLIO release. Contact Lisa Robinson with any questions.

• The serials check in and bindery workflow is under development and revision.

• Report generation in FOLIO is still a work in progress and discovery.

Both files of July authority record updates were loaded on July 3, 2023. The June bib records were updated and loaded on July 3, 2023.
