Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC)

PCC website

  • The PCC website, together with the PCC listserv, is the most up-to-date resource for national level cataloging policies and best practices. Supervisors will disseminate key policies and documentation from the PCC. Original catalogers are responsible for staying current with and applying PCC policy as appropriate, per goals and objectives and/or job duties documentation.

  • Authority work done under NACO and bibliographic work done under BIBCO and CONSER must conform to PCC policy. All other cataloging at MSU takes PCC policy as a guide, but is primarily subject to local policy.

Selected PCC Guidelines:

Provider-Neutral E-Resource MARC Record Guidelines

Hybrid Bibliographic Record Guidelines

Relationship Designators in Authority Records
