Reporting CONSER statistics

CONSER statistics are reported to the PCC in April and October by replying to a survey that the PCC distributes in March and September to the CONSER listserv. More information is available from the PCC. Statistics are collected using Create Lists in Sierra.

  • MSU Libraries is a CONSER participant, creating original catalog records and doing maintenance om on existing records for in the CONSER database of serial records in within OCLC’s WorldCat.
  • Serial catalogers performing maintenance or creating new CONSER compliant records that count toward MSU Libraries' CONSER transactions should track their work in the SIerra ILS using the MARC 982 field according to the formula in this procedure.
