Notes guidelines

• Notes for an entire fiscal year are kept on one page. 
  
  

• To create a new agenda/draft notes entry
  • Copy one of the templates below
  • Navigate to the current year's notes page (example: 2018 TSTM notes)
  • Click the edit (pencil) button and paste your entry directly to the top
  • Retain "DRAFT" in the entry title
  • Click "close" instead of "publish"
    
    
• Taking and reviewing draft notes
  • To make edits to an existing draft entry, click the edit (pencil) button of the current year's notes page
  • When finished editing new entry, do not publish
  • Instead, click "close" at the bottom of the page
  • This saves the edited version of the page as a draft, but does not publish it
  • These unpublished changes may be viewed by other logged-in users by clicking the edit (pencil) button at the top of the page
    
    
• When draft notes are approved:
  • Publish the draft version of the notes page
  • Copy link to latest notes entry (i.e., click on the entry title in the table of contents and copy the URL)
  • Distribute notes by email as follows:
    • Text: The latest TS Team Managers (TSTM) notes are available here: [link to latest notes entry]. 
    • Recipients: LibStaff@lib.msu.edu; todarod@michigan.gov; moynihbr@law.msu.edu

Whose turn is it to take notes?

Keep track of note-taking responsibility here (we'll clear out this section periodically and start over so it doesn't get too lengthy). Notes should go in this order:

Barton – Depoorter – Faulkner – Gildner - Gong – Junus – Robinson – Smith
