  • Or, click "File" > select "Compile file into MARC." 

  • Find the csv file in the Download file > or drag or drop the file into the file box.
  • Find the mrk file in your download files - save on your Desktop.
  • Save the mrc file in the same place the mrk file is saved, giving the mrc file the same name.
  • A saved export file will populate the fields without having to add the marc fields one by one.
  • If you think you might need to duplicate these marc fields into another Excel file, click SETTINGS to save the list
  • FOLIO has created an mrk (marc) file.
  • The Build New Fields process, uses the data containing the 001 and 049 field information =949  \\$a{001}$f{049}
  • mnmn: Leave as is. Jump to Item record updates. (No updates to the holdings and 2 updates to the item record.)
  • mnbr. Ask Lisa to help change holdings location from mnbr to mnmn. 
  • Type your task here, using "@" to assign to a user and "//" to select a due date
  • Save file on your Desktop as an Excel file.
  • Name file: Deacidification Barcode Numbers.[date].xlsx
  • CSV (Comma Delimited) (*.csv).
  • Save the mrk file on your desktop as a txt file.
  • Add  > “949 \\$f7fdel” string to all the records in the file in order to add Library of Michigan items and holdings if needed.
  • Tools > Add/Delete Fields
  • Save changes.
