Summary: This procedure keeps track of the numbering of microfilms, which are number in order of acquisition. When a cataloger needs to assign a new 099 microfilm number, this chart must be consulted to see what is the next available number and claim it with a date and their initials.

To reserve microfilm numbers(s):
Requires an individual to be logged in and haved editing privileges in Confluence. Talk to your team manager to find out who has authorization, or to receive authorization and training yourself.
Log in and navigate to this page. Click on the edit (grey pencil) button in the upper-right-hand corner.
Go to the next available row in the table.If you need to add a new row, click inside the existing row. The table editing menu ribbon will appear. Choose 'insert row after' from the menu. You can also use the keyboard shortcut of Alt+shift+↓
In theMicrofilm numbercolumn, key in the next number (or a range of numbers) in sequence.
Enter today's date in theDate Assigned column.
Key in your initials in theInitialscolumn.
Uncheck 'Notify watchers' box in the lower-right-hand corner.
Click on the blue "publish' button to save and publish.
