An 880 field must be the non-Roman equivalent of and paired with another MARC field, like the 245 or the 264
All characters should be in entered and coded correctly for our ILS, which uses Unicode
In records where coding is incorrect or incompatible with our OPAC, thereby making the non-Roman characters illegible in our public display:
attempt to change the coding of the record
if changes aren't feasible, delete the 880 fields containing the illegible characters
