OER title tracking

OER cataloging

  • Per Head of Acquisitions, if there is an instance attached to an order that was made for printing a MakeCentral copy, overlay that instance with the e-version. If there is no order record, it means that no physical copy was printed.

  • Add stat code (Dispersed collection: FBC) to Folio item.

  • Add 590 (MSU Stanley C. and Selma D. Hollander Faculty Book Collection) to Folio item.

  • Add staff-only item note (202X needed for FBC reception) IF there is an order record containing the reception year. Otherwise, add only the stat code and 590.

  • Add 500 note if online version is interactive (usually true) but there are also PDF, etc., versions available for download. Include additional 33X and 006 fields as appropriate for audio-video content.

  • Add 506 note that item is open access.

  • Be sure to look at Metadata section at very bottom of book home page. It may contain ISBN, publication date, etc.

  • Michigan State University. $b Libraries will generally be the publisher. Include a 710.

  • Notify whomever sent the original email that the titles have been cataloged.
