Summary: These pages describe cataloging procedures specific to cartographic materials, especially sheet maps.

Policies

All books in the G call number range should receive the Maps Library stamp when cataloged.
Firm-ordered books in the G call number range may be sent to the mn or the mp location as designated by the order record (this is a 2018 change from historical practice that sent all books falling in G1000-G9999 to the Maps Library).
Shelf-ready books in the G call number range will still be cataloged for the mp location.
