MSU Dissertations & Theses - Remote [thrpr]

• Bring up instance record in folio by keyword search.
• Take the next available THS call number label and place on book.
• Edit the MARC bibliographic record by adding an 099 field with the thesis call number.
• Enter call number into call number field in both the holdings and the item record.
• Barcode the thesis with a white barcode label and scan the barcode into the item record.
• Check-in book to remove in-process status.
• The item record should be “available” with a “can circulate” loan type.
• Place finished books on Remote shelves by mailroom.

MSU Special Collections - Remote Theses [sprth]

• Bring up instance record in folio by keyword search.
• Take the next available THS call number label and place on book.
• Edit the MARC bibliographic record by adding an 099 field with the thesis call number.
• Enter call number into call number field in both the holdings and the item record.
• The item record should be “restricted” with a “non-circulating” loan type.
• Place finished books on Remote shelves by mailroom.
