Processing DMC games

Summary: Procedure on processing DMC games after they have been cataloged.

1. The Permanent location in the Holdings record should be: rvgam

2. In the item record:

   1. Verify Other scheme is selected under the Call number type drop down menu.

   2. G00XXXXX will be in the Call number field, a space and video game.

   3. If there is ephemera, it should come with a separate item record.

   4. Under Enumeration data, volume field should be disc/cartridge or ephemera.

   5. Verify that the record has a Permanent loan type that is either 14 Day Loan or 4 hour loan.

   6. Titles with multiple discs, and ephemera will have a piece count in the Pieces field . (Titles with more than 10 pieces should include a more detailed description)

   7. Enter the barcode to the item record.

3. Place a white barcode on the front upper edge middle of the case.

4. Place a property label on the back, bottom center of the case.

5. Place a hub label on the disc with the call number.

6. Print call number label for both the game and ephemera and place label on the upper left corner of the piece.

7. Check-in barcode to remove “In-process” status.
